MAITLAND WORKPLACE HUB
WHAT WE DID
The Maitland Workplace Hub was constructed with a view to housing several local government departments scattered about the Hunter Region, under one roof. Our role included integrating all new fan systems, fan coil units and variable air volume boxes with existing central plant that was retained and re-used. Optimising compatibility between existing and new proved challenging in certain cases especially with regards to tuning the performance of the variable air equipment.
A number of new water cooled package units serving meeting rooms and private work spaces were also installed which required a complete re-balance of all new and existing chilled and condenser water terminals as well as the chilled water plant which featured upgraded chillers and chilled water pumps.

ABOUT THE BUILDING
The government departments now operating out of Maitland Workplace Hub were previously housed in three separate facilities around the Hunter. The consolidation opportunity that the workplace hub provided resulted in significant reductions in the government office footprint, environmental footprint and operation costs. The new building features a modern, open plan working environment which enhances productivity and promotes closer collaboration between departments.
