126 PHILLIP STREET, SYDNEY
WHAT WE DID
Commissioning the air conditioning and ventilation systems at 126 Phillip Street (Deutsche Bank) presented a unique set of challenges. With four air handling units serving each floor, each of which equipped with multiple zoned, variable airflow supply boxes [VAVs], hundreds of individual velocity sensor calibrations were required. The efficacy of these calibrations had to be confirmed for multiple airflow setpoints to ensure the correct amount of air is delivered to each zone throughout the required airflow operating range.
We worked closely with the BMS contractors on the project to ensure all automated items of equipment performed in accordance with design specifications. This involved calibrating velocity and pressure sensors, tuning PID (programmable-integral-derivative) control loops and confirming airflow maintenance with systems running independently under automatic control.
