ABC STUDIOS REDEVELOPMENT

WHAT WE DID

The ABC Studios Redevelopment project saw the main ABC headquarters in Ultimo, Sydney receive a major upgrade to its mechanical systems and broadcast studios with the construction of Tower B. Commissioning of the new air conditioning systems involved testing and balancing in acoustically sensitive broadcast areas. As such, air velocities had to be accurately measured and tightly controlled to prevent background noise.

At the conclusion of commissioning in 2002, several of our technicians remained on site full-time as part of the facilities management team. This involved scheduled servicing of air conditioning and ventilation equipment, filter changes, BMS programming alterations as well as studio air flow and pressure monitoring.
